The Floating Brothel - Television Serial
The Floating Brothel Based on the award-winning book by Sian Rees, The Floating Brothel is the bodice-ripping, life-affirming tale of six British convict women who sail to the ends of the earth and redeem themselves to become the unlikely founding mothers of Australia.
Incarcerated for their ‘crimes’ and reprieved from death sentences the women are swept up in a government plot to rescue a male colony at Sydney Cove. Sent to Australia on the all-female transport ship The Lady Juliana to become ‘breeding stock’ for the colony, the enterprising women convert the ship into a floating brothel.
Mile Zero - Feature Film
Mile Zero Alex Anderson is an uptight, buttoned up, straight “A” accountancy student who, after his plane ticket is raffled off by his roommate, is forced to drive home from University in Vancouver to Newfoundland along the longest road in the world, the Trans-Canadian Highway.
Along the way he accidentally picks up hitchhiker Chloe a fiery, flirty redneck and her mute son who throw Alex’s neatly ordered world into utter chaos. The unlikely trio embark on a cross-country adventure that will teach them all lessons in life that they will never forget.
Mile zero is a low budget, shoot from the hip style improvised road movie that has high energy, fabulous music and awesome scenery.
This is very much in the vein of Sideways and Little Miss Sunshine.
